For me, it’s all about making things that bring people joy.

I got my first job as a junior writer at Grey when I was 20. I literally grew up in the advertising business.

My father was an art director, and my mother was a photographer. They taught me that creative people and the mysterious rareness of their talents are to be prized and fostered. And that coherent, compelling ideas are the true differentiators.

I’ve worked as an art director, a writer, and a creative director at big agencies and boutiques, on TV shows, and as a consultant for Fortune 50 companies.

As a creative director, I’m obsessed with how an audience will interpret the images and words we smash together for our clients and their brands. And that if we embrace new approaches, we can do things nobody has ever tried before.

In addition to my agency work, I also coach the business students at Santa Clara University on the power of brand. I’m a proud dad to two precocious little girls, a pair of Boston Terriers, and husband to a wife who’s usually right.
